Taking Jayce Home :-)

Well, now that we have been married for four months, I finally got to show Jayce my home in Ashburn, Virginia! We were there for a little over a week. Within the first few days we had an open house with friends and family. It was an outdoor bbq and it turned out lovely! My Mom and Dad put a lot of preparation into it, for which we are very grateful. We had a really good turn out too. It was nice to show my hometown that Jayce isn't made up! Haha. Colorful Terry's (and spouses): Ben and Rebekah Stay with new baby James, Porter's, Mom and Dad Terry, Rachel Terry, Talia and David Terry with darling Kathryn Terry. :-) Photographers of the night! My sister Rachel and her boyfriend Todd. This is Mrs. Startsman, one of my old dance teachers...I get excited when I see her. :-) We celebrated my birthday at home with the tradition of a Wegmen's tart. Baby James loves being in pictures. Probably one of my top three favorite things about my new nephew: his pouty face. This picture...

No Longer a Teenager!

The morning started off with my darling husband making me breakfast in bed! He got out of bed extra early (I'm a heavy sleeper...) and made signs to put up all around our living room and to make my favorite- waffles. I know..I look great in the mornings...NOT! Jayce allowed me to open up my presents from his parents while they were on the phone with us, but he put them on before I even had a chance! Duck bathrobe and matching slippers and might I say that they are amazingly comfortable! In fact, I'm wearing my slippers as we speak. Thank you Mom and Dad Porter! So, later Sunday night Jayce took me on a Sunday walk. The first surprise was our destination: He took me to the Pingree's house to visit with them and so that I could play with their new puppy!!! For those of you who don't know, I'm a big fan of dogs and little Luna is so cute! The second surprise was when I came home and found family and friends hanging out in our kitchen! I walked through the door and ther...

Jayce took me to go see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! We both enjoyed the movie, but as with all Harry Potter movies, I had to bite my tongue in the theater so I wouldn't disturb other viewers with my commentary of, "That's sooo not how it happens in the book.." Jayce just looooves it when I do that.. :-) On our way to San Diego to visit Jayce's oldest sister, Kimber and her family, we stopped in Riverside to visit my grandparents and uncles. It was nice to be able to eat some good food and talk for a while. Shout out thank you to the Nardone's and Jessica for being so patient and tagging along! We all got to go to the San Diego Temple together! It was a first for Jayce and I and we're so glad that we were able to go because it is beautiful . The odds were against us too since Jayce and I overslept and woke up to a fully dressed Lindsey knocking on our door just a few minutes before we were supposed to be out the door! You've never seen two p...
