Mom and Dad Highlights
Jayce Face latest and greatest: Jayce has done psychiatry and surgery rotations so far this school year. Both have been great learning opportunities, especially surgery. He actually came upstairs from studying one day and said, "I just love what I'm learning now!" and then proceeded to tell me all about the connections he has been able to make between his books and the hands on work he has seen/participated in at the hospitals. It's one thing to read about a certain body malfunction and another thing to witness it first hand. He gets to see things from the beginning when patients come in to consult the surgeon about something all the way through to their recovery process after the surgeon has taken care of business. Plus he has participated along the way. Not only is it rewarding for him, but it is rewarding for me to see that he is putting so much energy into something that he truly loves.
