A Well Deserved Frosty

Jayce Face came home from one of his two hour Altius prep course classes with a Wendy's frosty in tow. I came to learn that Jayce had gotten every single practice problem correct and that the frosty was his reward! Apparently the teacher will treat anyone who gets a 100% that night to any dessert they want. One time a guy asked for a Cold Stone cake! Jayce was the only one in the entire class last night to receive his very own complimentary dessert. WAY TO GO JAYCE!!!! I just had to brag about my smart man for a moment...hope you don't mind. :-)

Grateful

So, I was having a pity party the other day for really no reason. Literally. I can't think of a reason, I was just in a bummer mood. Do you ever have those days? You have to dig yourself out of a pit all day and you don't even know why you put yourself in there? I think it's partly because my pregnancy is fiddling with my brain now. Lots of hormones going crazy, emotions are heightened, and I get grumpy easily-ESPECIALLY if I'm getting hungry. You don't want to see me hungry. My brother-in-law was over for dinner that night and I made some complaint about how none of our furniture matches because it's all odds and ends that we inherited when we got married and we're too cheap to buy anything nice right now. Normally this doesn't bother me, but it was a bum day, even minuscule things bother me on bum days. Anyhow, my brother-in-law nicely piped in a story about his friend from Brazil who just got married to a girl in the U.S. and how they are barely sc...

Yay Talia!

Happy birthday Talia!! My sister-in-law is celebrating another successful year of being a stellar mom to her two little girls, another year of having joy in the journey, and another year being married to my big brother! May 14?

So, at the "20" week ultrasound Baby Boy was measuring a due date of May 14th, 2 whole weeks earlier than the original due date that the 1st ultrasound calculated (I think I was like 7 weeks along at that point). The nurse said that the doctor would look at the ultrasounds and decide whether or not to move the due date up. Apparently the earlier ultrasound is more accurate, so they don't normally change anything, but because there was more than a ten day difference they decided to switch it. So, I go in on Friday for a check up and low and behold my due date has CHANGED! The new date is May 14th instead of May 29th. The craziest part is that makes me 30 WEEKS this weekend! I thought I was going to be 28 weeks, I can't believe that I just skipped two whole weeks in the blink of an eye! I already felt like this pregnancy was whizzing by, probably because I'm in classes and working. Something about school does that to you. Now the pregnancy feels even shorter. I'...
