Parade of Homes

So, Parade of Homes is FREE out here in Colorado. I was so excited. Some of the ladies decided to hit it up with me a few weeks ago. We were quite the site walking through this block of houses! Everyone commented on the babies. Between all the babies and my BYU shirt, one of the Parade of Homes workers made a well educated guess and asked, "So, what ward are you guys from?" Haha. In case you didn't know, this is the new "in" thing to do in your house: An outdoor sitting area in the middle/front of the house. It was pretty sweet, I love that you can have so much privacy. They were all beautiful too, every home we went in had one in some shape or form. My biggest problems would be the maintenance of it (snow, rain) and for the ones that were in the front of the house you would have to install a doorbell because otherwise people would be knocking all day and you would never know it. The Denver Zoo

The Denver Zoo! I have a couple of friends who have season passes to the zoo that get them + a friend in for free and since kids under 3 are free, it's a golden opportunity! My first visit I was amazed at the bats. These pictures were not taken behind glass, they were taken in the same room as the bats. Kind of nuts, right? I'm just glad they were sleeping, otherwise I probably would not have worked up the courage to go in. Can you believe how big they are?! Not the usual little guys we see fluttering around sometimes in the neighborhood. I totally get the whole Dracula/bat thing now too the way that they are all wrapped up. On our trip yesterday, we got up close and personal with one of the gorillas. He got as much food as he could hold and then came over and sat right here to eat it: The kid's favorite part was probably this little atrium thing.
