Pre-Christmas Activities

Image
Cameron has yet to see ninja turtles, but he already loves them after a recent birthday party. I couldn't complain when he came home looking like this. I'm excited for him to get more and more into dress-ups! Aunt Tee and Uncle Ken came out to Park City for a conference and we got to spend a few hours in Salt Lake with them before they went home! Jayce finally got another go at ping pong against Dr. Hill. Dr. Hill reigned victorious, but Jayce still had a lot of fun. :-) All of the med students (and spouses) who are out here for rotations got together to talk about the rotations program here in Utah with some of the coordinators. It was a really good night and I'm hoping that it means great things are in store for this rotation site in the future. I got to meet baby Henry for the first time!!!!! This little nephew is a squishy, smiley, snoring tank and I love him! We went to the park, but this little boy was only interested in snuggling in the car,...

C is for Christmas

Image
So, I'm no photographer and I obviously don't have a sweet camera, but I thought a Christmas photo booth would be fun for pre-school, and it WAS. Oh my goodness, I love this little group of funny boys. If you get a kick out of kids too, this is for your viewing pleasure.

Jayce and I were having salad for dinner, so I was getting ready to give the boys sandwiches and applesauce. That's when Cameron told me, "No Mommy, I want to have salad. A big salad!" And he ate it all up. SCORE! He had more salad at Grammy and Grampy's for dinner tonight. I'll take it! As a side note, tonight at Grammy and Grampy's Cameron came running upstairs to tell me, "Mommy guess what?! Deer poop is called scat !" He then ran over to the window and looked out on the grass and excitedly said, "Look at all of that scat !" 10 points to Grammy for increasing his vocabulary! Jackson got a big kick out of this. Friday night was feeling like a chill night so we all watched Frozen. Benson went to a pediatric ophthalmologist to get the ptosis in his right eye looked at this week. Just a check up to make sure it's still not damaging his vision or anything. Still looking good. The doctor said he highly doubted Benso...

Pre-Christmas Festivities

Image
Rick (Glenna and Blair's son) came down to help us set up some of Glenna and Blair's Christmas stuff. Glenna and Blair were hoping we would put some of their stuff to use while they're gone, and we were happy to do so! This is our first year with a tree!! The explosion of all or our decorations before they found places to go: Cameron stayed up until 10:00 because he was so excited to see us light it up. The first time that we've been able to actually use our Christmas ornaments. Cam thought this was the best thing ever. The next morning I turned it on for Jack and Ben. And we actually have a place to put our stockings this year!!! (Can you tell I'm just a little excited about being able to make our home so festive this year?) We had a fun ward breakfast yesterday.  I thought this was a cute activity. The primary kids split into three groups and decorated each member of the bishopric as Christmas trees. The...

Thanksgiving 2014

Image
We spent Thanksgiving weekend at Grammy and Grampy's again and it got us geared up for Christmas! It's a fun get-away for our family. Couch snuggling at various points during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. You'll notice Jack isn't in much of the snuggling pictures. He just always prefers being on the move! We normally get Jolly Jack snuggles right before he goes to bed and we soak them all up.  It took three men to get the turkey ready after it was cooked. Jack and Ben ended up napping during the feast, which worked out really well for Cameron because he joined us at the adult table since he was the only kid. Grampy got him all set! Jayce is now in his OBGYN rotation, so we were grateful that nobody was in labor on Thanksgiving. There were three deliveries Friday, so he was gone most of the day, but luckily none on Thursday! He's really enjoyed deliveries so I'm glad he has this opportunity. One thing that we...
