These Days...
These days have been exciting, funny, packed, and let's face it...even a little bit scary. However Jayce and I have quite enjoyed "these days." We'd like to share a little bit of them with you:
*Spring Term and the MCAT are out of the way= a big plus. Now lots of more decisions to be made and on to summer term!
Jayce and I rather enjoyed having two new roommates for a week:
Aren't they just so gosh darn cute? Lindsey and Porter spent some of their last days in Provo shacking it up in our living room because a. their apartment is in boxes, b. Josh has been in Alabama doing Air Force training, and c. there are some creepy people in Provo, so there's always safety in numbers! Part of the reason why it was so fun for Jayce was because he could have male bonding time in the mornings while watching the World Cup! I'm just not quite as fun to watch sport games with...

These days my sister-in-law is the Belle of the Ball. Literally. She was Belle in the Princess Festival in Lindon and might I add that children positively adored her? She was perfect!
I made this strawberry cake for our ward dessert night:
...and didn't win a prize. Don't worry, I'm not bitter.
Then she came into town:
:-)
and then there was a little bit of this:

...and a little bit of that:

...of course there was some of this:
...and then we just had to top it off with a little bit of THAT:

Now, you're probably thinking, "The Porter's have it pretty awesome." "These days" are filled with greatness. Right, that's running through your head right now? Well, here comes the scary part of "these days." A couple of nights ago I was really stressed out about my classes, life, vacation, etc. You know how girls get. So, I'm getting ready to cut Jayce's hair around 9:00 p.m. Needless to say, my mind was somewhere else...out the door, around the corner and it had to have been half way to China because Jayce handed me the buzzers without a guard on them and proceeded to pick out which guard he wanted me to use, but I missed the memo. That's how this happened:

Can I just tell you that my husband is a stud though? Let me just brag for a moment here. So, I completely shaved a stripe on the back of his head in a moment of complete stupidity on my part. Irreversible, damage done, Jayce has to give himself a military cut and play the waiting game until the stripe grows back out (because we were NOT going to shave his whole head over it!). And how does he react upon said act of moron-ness? He didn't get upset with me, he didn't break down, he laughed, he told me "It's just hair...", and he just tries to let it roll right off his shoulders because he doesn't want to hurt my feelings or make me feel worse about it. Studly? I think so. Heroic? He's a hero to me anyways. :-)
your cake looks yummy! i would have voted for it for an award!
