The Rege

Jayce and I are loving living up in Draper. We can't help but miss the friends that we left down in Provo though. After a year of living in the married apartments at the Regency, we made some bff's. Here's a walk down memory lane.

Meet the cast:
John and Amy: Although they missed the BEST SUMMER EVVEERRRR, we still love them. (Just teasing guys :-) ) They spent the summer working in Wyoming, but had just enough time to introduce us to Settlers of Catan before they left and now we're hooked. Confession--we may or may not have skimmed over your living room while you were gone to see if it was in there...and we're sorry we used your living room as storage for the Air Cinema. Welcome back! Oh, and did I mention that they are professional Gibble Gobble players? Seriously. I think they train for it. Lastly, who can forget John's most favorite famous basketball player of all time? ;-)

Jenny and Derek: Let's face it. What would the Rege be without the best managers ever? A parking spot for all the married couples, extra storage units given to the married couples, kicking people out of the lounge for our "reserved" nights, letting us paint/rebuild our apartments...it just doesn't get much better than the Rege for Provo married housing. Plus Derek can down the butter smother. "Netflix anywhere!"
Butter Smother. Yes those squares are slabs of butter at the Awful Waffle.

Jayce and Sarah: Nuff said!

Jeff and Ashley: Sunday family dinners, Disney's Scene It (which I never won dangit.), sharing food, going in on Costco groceries, investigating that stinking loud and obnoxious noise that comes from campus every so often, having jam sessions knocking on the wall...the list goes on. I think that all would have to admit that their apartment is the sweetest decorated in the 4o-plex because of Ashley's sweet painting skills. She's thebomb.com when it comes to artsy fartsy stuff. Ashley and I balanced each other out with our mix of "the ballerina" and "the b-baller". Next-door neighbors are fun. Plus there is a little Harvey on the way and that's just exciting. :-)

David and Rachel: Rachel let us all watch the filming of her c-section. It didn't show anything gross or anything, but still..gutsy right? It was fascinating. :-) They are always very giving (David brought me fountain Sprite a couple of times in my time of need and Rachel made me dinner when she could tell that I was having an off day-THANKS!). David and Rachel also raised the mascot of the Regency:
Reagan. Looking for birds inside of Macey's while eating frozen yogurt, hobbling around in her pink leg cast telling everyone about Mickey, Goofy, and various other Disney characters the Harvey's drew on it, and giving us the moment of "Killer"..."Reagan!" hahaha. Not to mention the Andrus' introduced the Rege to the best shaved ice place in town. Hokuluai..? something like that. But it's fan-stinking-tastic.

More Rege memories:

Jeff and Derek built a mini golf course on the side of the 4-plex. This was also the beloved location for a couple of outdoor movie nights with the Air Cinema.

Girl nights: The Family Stone-no comment. Haha. ;-) S'mores. "How did the guys and girls already segregate?!" Talking until late--you know, like 11:00 for us and then having the boys come in during the wee hours of the morning. Having our conversation secretly recorded by Derek's iPhone. Oh the days.

Dual b-day celebration at Tucano's:

Derek got slowed down by the vegetables in the eating competition between the boys. No more double-down freebies!

Before Jayce and I went to the hospital to be semi-induced we went on a walk together to contemplate our last moments as just the two of us. On our way back David swings by in the car and lets us know that they'll be seeing us in the hospital as well because Rachel's water had broken earlier that day. During church. Yes she still gave a Sunday school lesson. You go girl. Luckily they were able to keep the girls in for another two weeks, but we were able to have a little Rege get-together on Tuesday with me and Rach in the hospital together.
And there the little beauties are. <3

We had a night of fine dining first at the Awful Waffle, then Slab Pizza. We were just a little hungry. Plus we just wanted to keep the Slab Pizza staff on their toes with how close it was to closing..!

Cameron, Hallie, and Carli certainly enjoyed it. (Not to mention we all looked like quite the parade walking down the street).
And while the babies are sleeping, the parents will come out to play:
Gibble Gobble!!

Let's not forget cabin trips. Next Murder Mystery dinner coming your way October 2011.

Even Cameron was sad to leave our old apartment:
