A Quarter Century!

Jayce had been complaining about Cameron's hair because it was starting to look kind of gross with how long it was getting. I just couldn't bring myself to cut it! So, I finally cut it while Jayce was at work as one of his birthday presents. Here's my precious babe:
Still long, but I couldn't help but feel a little sad cutting his hair for the first time. I mean, he had that hair in the womb!! I'm glad I did though, he looks much better groomed.
Bytheway: The bandage on his little hand is from me accidentally burning him. :-( I was carrying him in our baby carrier and wasn't paying attention to what he was getting his hands into while I was straightening up the kitchen and he brushed his little hand up against something hot. Poor wee one! At the time I didn't even realize what had happened because he kind of squealed and cried for not even a minute and then was fine. So, I just thought, "Well that was weird." I felt so awful later when I saw the big huge blister and put two and two together.

He's rad like dad. :-)

Jayce's birthday was a blast, thanks to everyone for all of his gifts! It was a good year for him, graduating college, taking the MCAT, becoming a dad, applying to medical schools. Love that man.

Welcome to the World Aiden Titus

Something big arrived in the Porter Family early in the morning on September 29! He's big, he's blonde, and he has kisses all over his chunky cheeks...welcome to the world Aiden Titus Porter!  He was my second largest baby weighing in at 8 lb 10 oz, his abundance of blonde hair is reminiscent of Cameron, he's the 17th grandchild on the Porter side and the 14th on the Terry side and he came into the world fast and furious like his next-older brother, Spencer. He also completes the Porter basketball team. Summer Olympics 2032, here we come! Mom's Gone

My Mom died in the early hours of June 29 of complications from pneumonia. She was one month shy of her 67 th birthday. I’ll be processing everything from the morning of her death to the day she was buried for a long time. I’m so grateful that I was able to talk to my mom just two days before she passed. I had sat down at my computer after rocking Spencer to sleep and it was quiet time in the Porter house. My mind went blank as soon as I sat down and I relaxed, which is abnormal because I usually feel torn between doing ten things at once when I sit down to “get stuff done” during quiet time.
