Random From December

So, the other day I get a message from Ambrey saying that Red Robin is giving free burgers to people who live on a street with James in the name of it and it turned out that they would even accept our address of East Jamison Drive. Score! Jayce and I went and picked up a toddler bed that we bought on Craig's List and polished the evening off with two free burgers, an order of fries, and a milkshake. All for $10 (that's including tip). It was oh so good. Not to mention that Cameron behaved wonderfully in Red Robin. Yay good deals!


Here is Cambajamba's new toddler bed:
He loves it! We didn't think that we would have him sleep in it for a while, but he was spending so much time on it the first couple of days we had it that we figured we might as well just give it a try. He's slept on it for the last four nights now and done great! He hasn't gotten out of bed once. We will see how long the magic lasts!

Cameron has a new game that he likes to play with Daddy at night. Cam goes into the closet with the sliding doors in his room and waits for Jayce to shut the door behind him. Then he sticks his little hand between the two doors and wiggles his little fingers around and laughs every time you grab his hand.

Cameron has a hard time letting Daddy go every morning. This particular morning when Jayce started getting his back pack on Cam's face fell and he just burst into tears! Jayce just couldn't walk out right away. He put on a movie and tried to calm Cam down for a few minutes so that he could try leaving again. Cam obviously wouldn't let Jayce out of his sight after they sat down:

Welcome to the World Aiden Titus

Something big arrived in the Porter Family early in the morning on September 29! He's big, he's blonde, and he has kisses all over his chunky cheeks...welcome to the world Aiden Titus Porter!  He was my second largest baby weighing in at 8 lb 10 oz, his abundance of blonde hair is reminiscent of Cameron, he's the 17th grandchild on the Porter side and the 14th on the Terry side and he came into the world fast and furious like his next-older brother, Spencer. He also completes the Porter basketball team. Summer Olympics 2032, here we come! Mom's Gone

My Mom died in the early hours of June 29 of complications from pneumonia. She was one month shy of her 67 th birthday. I’ll be processing everything from the morning of her death to the day she was buried for a long time. I’m so grateful that I was able to talk to my mom just two days before she passed. I had sat down at my computer after rocking Spencer to sleep and it was quiet time in the Porter house. My mind went blank as soon as I sat down and I relaxed, which is abnormal because I usually feel torn between doing ten things at once when I sit down to “get stuff done” during quiet time. So I thought, “Well, what should I do?
