Don't worry guys, the Porter's are not dead. I know all ten of you that read this blog were really concerned, so I just thought I'd jump back on after 7 months just to let you know the Porter's are still kickin'! (or screaming, or tantrumming, or giggling...really anything fits)

Watch out for this one future daughter-in-law--he drools! True story. Every time I go to get this kid from sleeping I see that he is face down in a circle of saliva. Mmmmm.







Cameron decided that everyone should have a duck in their life, so he passed his out. Little do they know yet that I'm their constant duck.

Cameron has decided he wants to take up photography. I'm nice and centered, right?

I made a fruit dip with marshmallow fluff in it, then went to go do something for Jack and came back to find Cameron like this. Caught. fluffed. handed.


Jayce and I were able to go on an ice skating date a couple of weeks ago. For those of you who didn't already know, I'm married to an ex-Sonic rollerblader. That basically means that when we go do stuff like this Jayce gets to re-live the glory days and my appreciation for figure skaters sky rockets. Jayce pretty much drags me around the rink for most of it! When he's not pulling me around I look like this:




 And Jayce always looks like a boss like this:



One of my AWESOME visiting teachers babysat Ben and Jack while I took Cam on a Mommy-son date. We went to a neighborhood park where we ate lunch, fed animal crackers to crocodiles, peed our pants, and I taught him other really good manners like this...


Speaking of peeing our pants, we started potty training Cameron a few weeks ago. This is the only fun thing about potty training:
A cute toddler bum in undies! He's fashioning Mr. Incredible and Dash in this one. That's all I can talk about on the subject. My therapist says it's too fresh.


Jayce was playing with Benson on the couch. Ben loves to be held up in the air parallel to the ground and rewards you with bright-eyed grins and giggles every time. If you're really lucky he'll even reward you with a waterfall of spit up.

Welcome to the World Aiden Titus

Something big arrived in the Porter Family early in the morning on September 29! He's big, he's blonde, and he has kisses all over his chunky cheeks...welcome to the world Aiden Titus Porter!  He was my second largest baby weighing in at 8 lb 10 oz, his abundance of blonde hair is reminiscent of Cameron, he's the 17th grandchild on the Porter side and the 14th on the Terry side and he came into the world fast and furious like his next-older brother, Spencer. He also completes the Porter basketball team. Summer Olympics 2032, here we come! Mom's Gone

My Mom died in the early hours of June 29 of complications from pneumonia. She was one month shy of her 67 th birthday. I’ll be processing everything from the morning of her death to the day she was buried for a long time. I’m so grateful that I was able to talk to my mom just two days before she passed. I had sat down at my computer after rocking Spencer to sleep and it was quiet time in the Porter house. My mind went blank as soon as I sat down and I relaxed, which is abnormal because I usually feel torn between doing ten things at once when I sit down to “get stuff done” during quiet time. So I thought, “Well, what should I do? It’s been a while since I talked to Mom...” When I asked her how she was she answered, “Well, actually not so good,” and she explained that she had just come home from the doctor’s office where she found out that she had pneumonia.   She filled me in on some details from her appointment and how she had been feeling recently.
