Yesterday was a roller coaster day as a mom and after I exerted what was left of me during FHE (it was an enjoyable FHE and the kids were cute, but after that I was still zapped) Jayce could tell I was spent and told me to just go shut myself in our room while he got the kids in bed. This is not the first time he has done something like this, and I love him for it. Teamwork.
Anyways, after 15 minutes or so Cameron sneaks in and says, "pssst! Mommy, I brought you a present!" and then with an adorable smile he pulls a toy from his room out from behind his back, runs over to me and puts it on my desk. I asked him if I could give him a hug to thank him and he gives me a quick hug before scampering out the door again. 30 seconds later he creeps in again and offers another "present" toy from his room. This happened until I had about 10 toys on my desk and carpet. Oh man, I love that little boy.
Before he went to bed he told me to make sure that I put my presents away in his toy room when I was done playing with them. ;-)
