26. Right?
So, about a week and a half before my birthday a neighborhood girl asked how old I was going to be and I told her 27. Then I thought, "Wow, 27 here we go!" I stumped myself though because I could remember things from my 25th birthday, but not my 26th. My memories from turning 25 seemed so distant though that I thought surely there was another birthday in there. Finally, I got out a calculator. 26! I was turning 26.
This embarrassingly dimwitted moment actually made my birthday a little more fun though because I seriously felt like I had gained a year of my life back. If anybody out there is having a hard time aging, try being pathetically dimwitted for a moment. Worked for me!
I did have a great 26th birthday though, I won't forget turning 26 this time. ;-)
Jayce had to be out of town for his first audition rotation and he was missed, but thanks to the love of other relatives and friends it was still a special day.
Aunt Tee happened to be coming to town a couple of days before my birthday to visit a friend and tacked on a few extra days to the trip so that she could spend some time with me and the boys. I remember spending several birthdays at her house in California growing up, so it was fitting that she could be with me for another birthday!
Church with the boys went well and soon after we went up to Draper for dinner with the fam. There was pie, they put up signs, and it was nice to relax on the deck for a while. It was great. :-)
I couldn't help but put up these videos I got!

Sunday morning I saw that Google had this display and I thought, "Hm. I wonder what they're celebrating that happens to be on the same day?" Slid my mouse over the icon and BOOM. Couldn't they at least pretend they don't know absolutely everything about you? Creepy Google. Creepy.
A Sunday morning treat from a friend in my neighborhood. :-)
Before church Jayce sent me a text saying good luck (because the boys don't have a good track record of behaving in church on important Sundays), but this was how I interpreted it:
The best "find the number" birthday sign I think I've ever gotten by the fabulous Jessica Porter.
I don't need to get anything else for my wardrobe this year, I think my snuggie will be worn often enough.
I got other great gifts and fun Facebook happy birthday messages and texts, I'm glad birthdays come around every year, they're a great boost. :-)
