Lately

Well, for better or for worse these boys have been able to soak up much more Bammy and Grampy time in the last couple of weeks. They love it, but I'm sure B & G have their moments when they wish they had their house to themselves! I'm pretty sure our first Sunday here was labeled as being "Hell" by someone...might have been Grampy, I don't know. He's learned that restful Sunday quiet time only really happens in his office with a closed door and Sunday music playing to drown out outside noises.  Sorry about that Dad P!

Really though, I think both parties are happy to have this time before the big move. The best part of the boy's day is being chased around the upstairs by Bammy and Grampy. And on Saturday nights they have been known to snuggle up in Bammy and Grampy's bed to watch whatever Hallmark movie Bammy and Grampy have playing. So sweet.

Now that the weather has been warming up a bit (we actually made it to 70 degrees yesterday I think) the boys have been LOVING being outside. The trees in the front yard are a forest, where they like to collect twigs for their "fire" by the fire hydrant. They make beds with the dead, dry grass that has been left around by voles, and they are loving the trampoline. I love watching them outside. It's so fitting for little boys.

Jayce and I have found that waking up in the morning before the boys allows us to get in some good reading time. I have actually gotten to the point where I sometimes wake up before my alarm now, which reminds me of my Dad, except that my Dad's alarm goes off at 4:30 a.m. and mine does not.

We have been going to bed later than usual which has hindered our morning time. I sat silently watching Jayce for a couple of minutes the other morning as he tried not to fall asleep while reading and couldn't help grabbing a picture. I just think he's cute.

Met Dad for lunch one day where the boys had their first In-N-Out experience. Jack didn't want his hat and Cameron didn't want a picture, but luckily Ben was amiable on both accounts.
As a side note to the outing, I realized that we are at the point of needing to teach Cameron that what comes out of our mouths in public needs to get the okay from our brain before being blurted out. Loudly. We had just ordered and Cameron looks up at me and while laughing a little as if he just can't make sense of what he has seen says, "Mom, how can a guy have GIRL hair sometimes?!" I was confused and wondering if he was confused about the girl we just ordered from who had her hair tucked into her hat and then I turned around and RIGHT NEXT TO ME is a guy with lusciously long hair. You know, that "in" look of long grungy man locks? We scuttled away.

And then this guy decided to experiment with his hummus at lunch the other day.
