Grammy and Grampy's Roller Coaster

Grampy and Grammy had a big surprise for the grandkids to open this year. Something to be enjoyed time and time again when the kids visit, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. 

Let me introduce you to the ROLLER COASTERRRRRR!!! (Or, the next source of fighting over and yelling for the grandchildren as Jayce so lovingly put it.)

Cameron ended up getting his wish to be the first one to ride it. Is it weird that every time I watch the video I want to say, "First jumper, Cam!" Do I read too much? Anyone else have this problem?



Jack was up for it the very first time, but after that he didn't want to get back on. As you can see in the video, he wasn't exactly thrilled while riding. That lead to this:

Benson actually ended up loving it.

But he did seem to have a death wish for it. We were constantly trying to keep him from running at the roller coaster. This video is a good illustration of what happens when you let your guard down for a second!

When the adults got tired of tending it, we flipped it over or covered it up with blankets and hid the car. Then they turned it into a pirate ship took turns saving each other from going overboard. They also let Spiderman be the captain.

Welcome to the World Aiden Titus

Something big arrived in the Porter Family early in the morning on September 29! He's big, he's blonde, and he has kisses all over his chunky cheeks...welcome to the world Aiden Titus Porter!  He was my second largest baby weighing in at 8 lb 10 oz, his abundance of blonde hair is reminiscent of Cameron, he's the 17th grandchild on the Porter side and the 14th on the Terry side and he came into the world fast and furious like his next-older brother, Spencer. He also completes the Porter basketball team. Summer Olympics 2032, here we come! Mom's Gone

My Mom died in the early hours of June 29 of complications from pneumonia. She was one month shy of her 67 th birthday. I’ll be processing everything from the morning of her death to the day she was buried for a long time. I’m so grateful that I was able to talk to my mom just two days before she passed. I had sat down at my computer after rocking Spencer to sleep and it was quiet time in the Porter house. My mind went blank as soon as I sat down and I relaxed, which is abnormal because I usually feel torn between doing ten things at once when I sit down to “get stuff done” during quiet time. So I thought, “Well, what should I do?
