In a typical Utah spring, it's not uncommon for the weather to be in the 70's one day and then snowing and in the 30's the next. Last week Jayce went to work when it was kind of overcast outside and while he was at work our backyard turned into a winter wonderland for a while. By late afternoon the sun came out and everything melted. Jayce came home from work and had no idea it had snowed. When I showed him some of the pictures of the boys playing outside earlier in the day his reaction was, "Wait. This was today?! No way. This was today?? That's crazy!" I have spent 6 years of my life in Utah, but the weather never ceases to surprise me.
The BYU ballet program had the first of many annual reunions and it was a blast! A yoga class and a ballet class for the alumni, we got to watch the current Theatre Ballet girls in class, and we got to do a speed dating activity with the alumni/current students. One of the girls currently on Theatre Ballet even knows my sister-in-law's family and said she has babysat my nephews. Small world!
It was well organized and fun to see some old friends that were still in the area. I hadn't taken a ballet class in several years, so that was a killer, but it was SO FUN. It brought back a lot of fun memories. :-)
I had to park a ways away (because parking at the Field House/RB is STILL ridiculous) but it was even more fun because I got to walk my old path to the RB just like old times. As soon as I got into the RB and saw students studying on benches and going about their daily schedules I got so excited. I had to stop myself from stopping at every student and saying things like, "Did you know that I used to go here?! I used to sit on this bench JUST LIKE YOU!" or "Isn't the RB the best ever?! Do you love it here? I love it here! Wanna go to the dance trainer's office together? Wanna go to your next class together?? Wanna go up and down in the old elevator a hundred times??!"
Needless to say I had a great time. Until next year!!
Ahh, I love this! I wish so badly I could have gone...next year for sure!!
