Conference Weekend

Said at the Porter house over Conference weekend:

Jackson: "Conference, yay!!!! We are going to find our treasure at Conference!"
(Hats off to whoever did sharing time in Primary the week before.)

Benson walks up in the middle of a talk: "Daddy, there's just a liiiiittle bit of poop in my underwear."
(My thoughts, "Yesssss he went to Daddy.")

Me trying to discuss Conference a bit at dinner time Saturday night (by the way thank you to this guy for making a reference to Star Wars because, it was much appreciated in the Porter house.):

Me: "You know, if the force is kind of like the Holy Ghost, I want to be like a Jedi Master. Just like a Jedi Master really knows how to use the force I want to know how to receive promptings from the Spirit."
Cameron: Stares for a second. "What?"
Benson: "Mom's going to be a Jedi Master."

Benson does this funny quirky thing when he's looking through books. He'll turn the page and kind of twitch his head around, looking at each section of the page.

Jayce: "Ben, why do you move your head like that?"
Benson: "So I can see."
Jayce: "Can you see when you don't move your head like that?"
Benson: "Uh-huh."
Jayce: "So, why do you move your head like that?"
Benson: "Because I'm exercising."

Me: "He said The Great Awakening, not The Force Awakens."
Benson: "But that rhymes with The Force Awakens."
Obviously they were looking for any mention of Star Wars after the reference on Saturday. :-)

Another moment I want to burn into my memory was sitting on the couch next to Jayce having just made up Spencer's bottle. Spencer was standing on the floor playing with a toy car on the couch and I called to him while holding the bottle up to show him, "Spencer...!" He looked up and upon seeing the bottle he got this huge grin under his binky. Then he threw the car he was holding down to the ground with one swipe of his big baby fist. Then he reached for his binky (still with adorable smile of anticipation on his face), grabbed it and threw it down to the ground as well, then started walking along the couch towards me. Oh man, Jayce and I were dying!

Such a good weekend! I love my family!

And Conference was good too. ;-)
