Catching Up from October
I wanted to make sure I documented some of Cameron's latest habits that I otherwise might have glossed over or forgotten later!
Cameron has started carrying around his "blanky" for a little bit after he wakes up. When I pick him up out of his crib, he points back into the crib immediately and makes a little noise to let me know that he wants something in there. He doesn't stop until I pick up Mr. Cow (I'm so original in my name choices. My stuffed animal was a bunny named...wait for it....Mr. Bunny.) and his blanky. Then he'll snuggle up to them again for a moment and he's all set for breakfast again! I think it's adorable! Although, it does become a problem when he won't eat his food in his high chair because he also wants to be holding the cow and the blanket. Those two activities just don't mix.

By the way, see the binky? It is now deceased! That green one was the last one that we had and it was getting pretty gross, so I went and bought new ones. I bought the size that he was supposed to be in for his age, but they were larger than the green one and he wouldn't use them. So, we were still stuck with the gross green one because I was just hoping he'd start liking the others and I didn't want to go buy another pack of the smaller ones. Then the unthinkable happened...we lost the one binky that he would use!! We couldn't find it in the apartment and finally decided to put him to bed without it and see how he did. He did totally fine. So, we thought...why not just keep it lost? We ended up finding it a couple of days later in the car, but we still figured we should just let it rest in peace. It had been such a smooth transition that we didn't want to reintroduce it and go through Hades and back later trying to get him to give it up. I'm glad it worked out so well, but there have been a few times in the last few months where I longed for that binky. Haha.
Cambajamba also has an obsession with balls. Soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, bouncy balls, the huge concrete red balls outside of Target...he can point them all out. "Ball" is definitely his favorite word. The green one in the picture is one of his favorites, so thank you Maria for picking it up out of the gutter on one of your walks! ;-)
Cam has had his first real snow! I was so excited to see the beautiful white coated ground, so right after breakfast we threw on our snow gear and took to the streets. It amazes me how much he loves being outside. Doesn't matter if it's hot, cold, raining, or snowing. He LOVES being outside and normally throws a fit when I try to bring him back in.
Cameron wants to be just like Daddy. :-)
A Halloween package from Aunt Teresa arrived and what's Cam's first instinct?
Sit on it of course!
I thought the books were awesome, and Cameron certainly grew to love them, but his first favorite part of the package was the ribbon that tied up the books. He carried it all over!
Cameron's other toy of the moment: The Hoberman Sphere that Mom got me when I was in elementary school! Why? Because it's a ball. :-) My favorite is when Cam just sits contently. It's so cute!
Cameron still loves his cousin, Porter! They are full on boys when they are around each other, but I love watching Porter make Cameron laugh.
Last, but probably most awesome...Cam's bed head. :-) He has the same cow licks that Mom and Dad have...poor boy!
