What's up with the boys?
Ben
Our hammer head! I have lost count of how many times this kid has bonked his head in the last few weeks. As soon as one bruise would start fading to yellow, he would fall and hit the exact same spot allowing a new blue/purple to set in. He had a bruise on both sides of his forehead, so he had two spots to choose from, I guess. Not to mention he looked like a lopsided unicorn all the time because be kept switching which side he landed on. Oh boy. Oh dear sweet boy.
Then he got this nice shiner.
Obviously his charm hasn't been effected. :)
Jayce cut a hole in this box to see if the kids liked playing around with it and Ben took right to it. Just sat there smiling at me and giggling inside his box. Hi Ben-in-the-box!
Jack
I don't have a picture of his injuries, but he bit through his tongue two times in ONE WEEK! The first time was because he started throwing an epic Jack tantrum at the table while I was making his pb&j and knocked himself and his chair backwards onto the floor. The second time he pulled a Jack-the-dare-devil move on me and decided to walk off one of the platform at the playground. Just to see what would happen? Just because the mulch suddenly looked like a bed of down feathered pillows? Because it seemed like the quickest way to get to the grapes? I don't know, but I'm grateful it was only as high as it was. I dread the day one of these boys walks in with an open fracture or something like that. Will I put on my serious mom pants and take care of business or will I go into hysterical denial mode and try putting neosporin and a band aid on it? We'll see!
Although he definitely has his divo side, he still also has his Jolly Jack side!
In the last couple of weeks Jack has also surprised us with sharing. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of shoving and pushing to go around, but then he'll have these bright shinning moments when he so selflessly gives things to Benson or Cameron. It has been really sweet to watch.
Cameron
Injury safe! Cameron is in a rotating pre-school group we've got going on in our neighborhood. It's two hours once a week and it has been wonderful. I taught the first class and here are some pictures of Cameron going to the second class. (!)
I'm really excited about his class if you can't tell. This was part of our first lesson! Although he misses being around all of his girlfriends from Colorado, it has been nice to have a large group of guys his age in the area. He's the youngest one out of the four too, so I was a little nervous but he has been doing great! I'm very proud of him.
Cameron also has a new mini-fettish with Jayce's laboratory goggles. I'm not complaining.
When all is said and done, we just really enjoy these three.
