Aviary, Constipation, Q-Tips, and the Cheese Stands Alone

Hey all you Utahans, ever heard of the Tracy Aviary? It's pretty sweet. I went with our friends, the Steadmans, a week ago because they had a day where we could get in for free. It's like a zoo for just birds, no mammals aloud. Cameron just loved it, when we came home he couldn't stop talking about the peacocks that were walking around with the guests and the big owls that hooted at him. Haha, just kidding...I'm excited for him to get to the point where he actually does appreciate/enjoy stuff like this though!

When he's pushing and just giving it everything he's got he gets a sort of smile on his chubby little face and Jayce actually caught it on camera! I could not be more excited bahaha.

Cameron has hit the stage where he's opening all the cabinets/drawers that he can reach and loves going through everything. I've since learned that we can't keep our q-tips in the cupboard under the sink anymore. Who would have thought they could be so fun?

Rachel came in to Salt Lake today to go on a weekend excursion to Yellowstone with a "friend"on a motorcycle. If Mountain Man turns out to be an ax murderer I'm going to be soooo mad at her.


And drumroll please....Cameron can stand on his own! He started doing it randomly a little over a week ago. He's still not walking on his own yet, but he's getting pretty darn close! It's really cute to watch him figure things out.

Welcome to the World Aiden Titus

Something big arrived in the Porter Family early in the morning on September 29! He's big, he's blonde, and he has kisses all over his chunky cheeks...welcome to the world Aiden Titus Porter!  He was my second largest baby weighing in at 8 lb 10 oz, his abundance of blonde hair is reminiscent of Cameron, he's the 17th grandchild on the Porter side and the 14th on the Terry side and he came into the world fast and furious like his next-older brother, Spencer. He also completes the Porter basketball team. Summer Olympics 2032, here we come! Mom's Gone

My Mom died in the early hours of June 29 of complications from pneumonia. She was one month shy of her 67 th birthday. I’ll be processing everything from the morning of her death to the day she was buried for a long time. I’m so grateful that I was able to talk to my mom just two days before she passed. I had sat down at my computer after rocking Spencer to sleep and it was quiet time in the Porter house. My mind went blank as soon as I sat down and I relaxed, which is abnormal because I usually feel torn between doing ten things at once when I sit down to “get stuff done” during quiet time.
