I'm kind of a Sing-Off Groupie.
So, The Sing-Off is a TV show where different a cappella singing groups from across the country compete for a recording contract and $. It was in the fall and I just thought I'd watch a little bit because BYU's Vocal Point group was on it and I thought it would be cool to see them on TV. I was not expecting to become obsessed with it. I came to know the names of all the groups and bought a bunch of the music on iTunes, which we still jam out to. :-) I discovered that I really love a cappella music and it became a big family event to watch the show every Monday night. So, when we heard that three of the groups from the show were doing a concert in Utah...we all pounced! It was at the Scera outdoor theatre right down in Orem, perfect! And did I mention that it was completely sold out? Yeah...we're not the only fans around here.
Vocal Point:
And I realized I didn't really get a picture of Delilah, but they were second. They aren't my absolute favorites anyways..no offense!
And of course, Pentatonix, the ones who took all the fame and glory at the end of the season!
Super awesome picture of them, right? Oh well, you get the gist!
Here they are in one of our favorites, which sadly enough they did not perform that night:
They did SO GOOD though. They were funny, they picked great songs, they loved the mountains which won over all the Utahn's hearts. And they are really great live. They got enough applause/standing ovation to come out for an encore too. I'm a big fan in case you couldn't tell. Yay for Pentatonix!
