Hikes

Lindsey and the kids came to visit us from CO for the week and one of the most fun things we did was go hiking! There are so many trails up here and we wanted to explore some of them a little more. Me, Jessie, and Lindsey ran a couple of miles on one that goes from our house to about half way down the mountain and Jayce picked us up at the bottom. It was fun for us because it brought back memories of the three of us training for our marathon two years ago. There's nothing like running in the fresh mountain air, it makes it SO enjoyable.

The next day we decided to hike a trail that would lead us to one of the hills around the house that gives you a 360 view of Salt Lake County and Utah County. You get to see both valleys! It was a hard hike, but it was incredible.
Here is the video:

and some snapshots:

Oh hey Salt Lake!

Oh hey Alpine!

And what else do you do when you feel like you're on top of the world?
Take dancing pictures of course.

And goof off :-)

Our last hike started at "Potato Hill" and wrapped around the Salt Lake side of the mountain to where you could get a really awesome view of the Draper Temple. We passed tons of bikers/hikers/runners on the trail, many of which made comments like, "A stroller huh? Guess there's always a first!" and "Start 'em young!" haha. It was fun.

Mom Porter felt bad for me, so she pushed Cameron on the way back. Lindsey and I could hardly even keep up! Haha, this woman truly is the energizer bunny in human form.

Best way to wind down after all the hikes:
