Jayce and I lucked out because two of my friends gave us their tickets to the homecoming game because they couldn't make it. It could be the last BYU football game we go to for a while, so we were glad that it worked out. Let's be honest- I just like to dress up in BYU stuff and then crowd watch once I get there, but Jayce really enjoys watching the games so I was happy that he could see another one.

Earlier on Saturday we went to the BYU Homecoming parade with friends in the ward! It was my first time attending and well worth it. I can't believe this is my last homecoming!

Jayce was the highlight of the parade. :-) He was riding his bike with BYU EMS.

We have enjoyed celebrating a lot of birthdays the last couple of months. It turns out all of Jayce's siblings were born in September and October, with Jayce finishing it all off in early November. It makes for a fun/crazy few months!

Jayce and I participated in our first murder mystery dinner! SO FUN! I think this will have to be an October tradition in the Porter family. I was Roxanne, the dead guy's nurse, and Jayce was Nobb's, the loyal butler. We were well matched because I ended up being the killer and Jayce was my accomplice! (Who I poisoned for trying to blackmail me between dinner and dessert.)

Here we have Jayce serving a tray of cheese and crackers to Chef Humble and Larkin, the lawyer. It was soooo funny to see everyone get into their characters. What a fun night, I love memories!

The last couple of months of school have been pretty crazy, but really great too. It's so nice to be in the mountains during the fall because all of the beautifully colored leaves. I looove the mountains!! This makes Jayce very happy. I still have a place in my heart for the green-ness and fireflies in VA though. I'm still a VA girl at heart! We both feel so grateful to be in our ward, there are so many awesome people surrounding us right now. It's nice to slow down and think about how great we really do have it right now. We may be poor college students, but life is good!

  1. You two look like you're doing well! I hear you're going to PA for Thanksgiving this year...enjoy it for me! I'll be too far along to go home this year for the holidays so think of me when you're flying in over the Bay! =)
