So Much Love...a much delayed post

Baby Shower #1 with some of Jayce's aunts and cousins:

Chelle even remembered that I love ducks while she was decoration shopping. I think our duck wedding toppers will forever be a reminder. :-) Isn't her house adorable?
P.S. That punch was divine.

Yay for having cousins!

My Great Aunt Beverly was even able to make it! She drove to Chelle's the day before with Chick to make sure that she'd be able to find it the next night. What a gem. Every time I talk to her I just can't help but think of how precious she is. Yay for Aunt Bev!

Aunt Bev got me a BYU onsie and hat!! He'll have to grow into it, but I was excited to have our first BYU paraphernalia for the wee babe. Then I remembered whose presence I was in and quickly put it away. ;-)

Baby Shower #2: Surprise!
Background: This shower was supposed to be on a Friday, I had it all marked and ready to go in my planner. The Saturday before was an errand day. Jayce and I had a checklist of grocery shopping, buying a pack n' play, fixing our lap top charger, car inspection, getting a couple of things from the bookstore, packing my hospital bag, etc. You get the gist...errand day. So, we do the stuff at the bookstore that we need to do and it's a little later than I would have liked by the time we're done so I'm a little edgy. On the way home Jayce says he got a text from our managers saying they just put new equipment up in the exercise room and wanted us to come check it out. I figure, meh...at this point, why not? As I walk by the blinds in the floor lounge I can see gifts set up on a table next to the window and think, "Oh no, someone's probably having a bridal shower in there and we're going to interrupt!" Then the door opens and I see a bunch of friends from my ward sitting on the couches and I'm thinking, "What the??? OH MY GOSH!"
And this is my first reaction! I HAD NOOO IDEA. You can obviously tell from my errand day clothes. My idea of errand day means, possibly jeans (I only wore my maternity jeans because I can't wear sweats outside the house anymore without having to constantly monitor whether or not my belly is popping out), some mascara, a t-shirt, and hair up and out of the way. Haha, so I show up like this! Woooo! Those girls did quite a lovely job at keeping it a surprise and I loved every minute of it though, don't get me wrong!! I wouldn't have changed a thing. I've never been that shocked in my life, it was so fun! I couldn't believe Jayce hadn't given a single hint!

Here lies the activity: Everybody chipped in to make me an alphabet book! It was darling. We ate, cut, colored, pasted, and talked. All the girls signed the bottom of the pages that they made and once Jayce and I add a couple pictures my friend Aubrey is going to bind it. SO FUN. If you're ever trying to think of something fun to do at a baby shower, I'd highly recommend this.

Is this not the cutest looking bubble bath punch you ever did see?

I post this to show you a. the cute outfit and b. my hair. Just to re-emphasize how truly caught off guard I was, haha!

Baby Shower #3: Roomies!

My old roommate and home-town friend, Marianne, threw me a shower as well. It was cutely decorated and there was fabulous food. Oh how I love these darlings...
Cami won the belly guessing contest, everyone else thought that I was the size of a cow apparently. ;-)

Jayce and I had this type of thing as the give-aways at our wedding, so Marianne thought she'd use the same idea and put fun baby stuff on the wrapper. Love it!
Lots of yellow and blue, Marianne put so much thought into it! She was the quite the hostess and I was most grateful.

Bottomline: It's now been a little over a month since Cameron was born and we haven't had to buy a single outfit, box of diapers/wipes/etc. for him yet. What a blessing. These gifts mean a lot to Jayce and I and we so appreciate the showers. Just thinking about all these sweet women who put these together and the wonderful people that came makes me so full of love! I have so much love for our friends and family. What a lucky couple Jayce and I are to be surrounded by so many amazing people.
