I solemnly swear I will miss Harry Potter

My name is Sarah Porter and I am a Harry Potter fanatic. The Harry Potter 7.2 movie opening has come and gone, but I just couldn't pass up a blog post dedicated to my favorite fictional character. I was one of the many that got hooked on the Harry Potter books when they were just blossoming. I think I read HP and the Sorcerer's Stone in 5th grade and then I just downed them one after the other. Literally. A Harry Potter book release was a big deal in my life. I remember dragging even my dad to a midnight release at Border's for the Goblet of Fire. Thanks Dad. :-) After I got the new book I took it EVERYWHERE with me. I stayed up for hours in bed continually saying, "oh...just one more chapter!" and I even read in the car--something I nevvveerrrr do because I get carsick. They were that good. Before the last book-The Deathly Hallows-came out my friend and I may or may not have re-read the whole series (not uncharacteristic of me before a new book) and taken notes so that we could try to guess how everything would unfold. Oh the summer days that I spent with my feet in my foot bath reading Harry Potter books. :-)
Two of my favorite things about the Harry Potter series are that 1.) J.K. Rowling ties up everything throughout the whole series so beautifully. She had it all planned out from the beginning-very impressive and difficult. 2.) The theme that runs through each book and culminates in the very last book--love. It has such good themes!
Here's to you J.K. Rowling. Can't wait to see what comes of pottermore.com.
Mischief Managed.
I swear I commented on this way before, but it must have not saved. I wonder who you read and re-read with?? Haha. Remember our sleepovers of reading Harry Potter? We are awesome!
