Heading to Utah for Christmas
I decided to go to Utah a week earlier than Jayce so that I could see my dad while he was out there. We went to my good home-town friend's wedding. Bobby and I met in high school and he ended up getting baptized in the LDS church after his first year of college. He then went on a mission a year after his baptism and when he came home from two years in the Dominican Republic he transferred to BYU, where he met Sheridan. They had a beautiful temple ceremony and a very sweet ring ceremony/luncheon later that afternoon. They were glowing. :-) I love weddings!
Dad and I were also able to meet up with my Great Aunt Beverly for breakfast while we were there too. I love Aunt Bev! She's one of the cutest old women you will ever meet. She's still fiery, active, and loving life. I always love visiting with her. Her vibrant personality makes me feel like I'm talking to any young friend of mine.
I knew our best bet with Cameron would be to do something earlier in the day that involved food and sure enough...he was a gem! He ate almost ALL of his two HUGE pancakes. Success!
Poor Dad was pretty jet lagged. He'll probably shoot me for putting this picture up, but I just have to make sure I get this memory in the scrapbook I'll make from my blog. We were sitting on the couch in the Porter's basement talking. Dad had JUST said something to me and I was responding while I was looking something up for our excursions the next day on my phone. When I looked up after I answered he was OUT. Hahaha!
Before my plane out to Utah, Jayce was able to come through security to wait with us in the terminal. It's hard to watch the bags and run around after a 1 1/2 year old, so I was so glad that he could take the time out of school to do it. Low and behold he certainly did keep us busy. Finally Jayce just went back and forth with him on the moving walk-ways behind our gate. Cameron thought they were the coolest thing since blueberries.
After my dad left I went up to the cabin with the Porter's. They wanted to stay up there and do some skiing/vegging before the rest of the family arrived. I'm so glad I was able to spend a few days up there! Trips to the cabin are always really good. Maybe in a bajillion years Jayce and I will be able to get something like that.
Movie time. I'm sitting close to the tv with Cameron playing with some toys and I turn around and see this:
Cam loved all the snow! (Until he fell face first into it...but he did pretty good all things considered!)
Jessie squeezing in the back with Cameron and all of her laundry:
Right after I came down from the cabin I went and met up for lunch with the girls from the Rege. We picked up right where we left off and it was great. Good conversations, extremely yummy food, and fun watching the kids play with each other. So jealous of Rachel's new house in Highland too and so glad that she's loving it there!
Rachel, Amy, Ashley, Me (missed Jenny after she left!)

Evie LOVES those moving sidewalks!!! Thats all we do when we go to the air port!
