TTFN Colorado Friends
So, we're moving. Jayce has finished his first two years of medical school and the next two years will be his rotations. He will rotate with different doctors each month to be exposed to different types of medicine like surgery, psychiatry, obgyn, pediatrics, etc. We were able to work things out so that he could do his rotations in Utah, so we will be living in Santaquin, UT for the next two years until he graduates!
We are truly so sad to leave Colorado. We have loved our last two years here. There are so many great family friendly things to do in the Parker area, we have made great friends, we loved being so close to RVU, and we love love love our ward here. I know that Utah holds good things for us, but we give Colorado a big lingering bear hug as we leave.
We have been packing in as much as possible before leaving, especially with the med school wives and their kids. Most of them left a at the end of June for their various rotation locations, but a few of us are lingering around until the end of July. PLUS three of them are going to Utah with us, so they are stuck with the Porter's for another couple of years. :-)

First I had to say good-bye to On Pointe School of Dance. I was really proud of how my girls were able to clean and perform their dance this year. The recital was close to Memorial Day, so the whole thing was patriotic themed. My girls danced to a mash up of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" and "Yankee Doodle Dandee". They were a fun group and the recital was great. I loved all the Americana themes.
The faculty. Colleen Moeller is a rock star!
Now the med school wives. Bahhh!
We had a last big hoorah girl's night for Debbie's baby shower because she's the mother of all showers. So, we decided to go all out and make it a surprise shower.
We had several dinner at the park Saturday nights to give the guys a break from studying for their Step 1 Boards exams.
And we had to do a final zoo trip.
More baby showers, Parker Days, pool days, bday parties, and a day at the Denver Temple for the kids.
Once all the mamas get in the pool we have quite a baby fleet.
I really feel so blessed looking back on all the memories we've made the last two years. After we graduated from BYU we decided to wait an extra year before starting medical school and now I can totally see why that one year was needed. We needed to come to Colorado at a specific time so that we could go through this experience with these people.
"Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget."
