Rebekah's House!

I flew in to North Carolina so that I could spend a night at Rebekah's house with her family and it was wonderful. It was my first time meeting little Lucy. It was the first time in 4 years that I was able to just be Aunt Duck and I tried to soak it up with all my nephews and nieces. I loved giving them my attention and building my relationship with them a little more.

Plus, I had been wanting to see my sister's house for some time and it did not disappoint. She's so cool.

Picking me up from the airport:

We spent Saturday playing at the science center. I was amazed by this place! It was like a children's museum, zoo, aquarium, petting zoo, ropes course all in one. I would totally have a pass to that place!

Cute blouse, puffy shorts, and those little pink shoes, ah! I love Lucy! I said this about a dozen times over the course of my 1.5 days in North Carolina, but I'll say it again--Lucy is just so malleable! Oh my goodness, I felt like I could just roll her up in a ball and squish her with snuggles!

James was so sweet. A couple of times he just went up to Rebekah and hugged and snuggled her out of nowhere. He played rock, paper, scissors with me while Rebekah put Jonny down for his nap and that was nice sweet baby James time.
James made a cool fort at the museum and I helped him defend it.

I'm bummed because I didn't get an excellent shot of Jonny, but honestly I think it's mainly because he was just so stinking entertaining to watch that I was too distracted to think about taking a picture! My favorite Jonny moment was during scripture study before bedtime Saturday night. Ben was reading while James sat next to him and enjoyed the pictures and Jonny was putting on a show for me and Beks. The parent in me told me I should stop laughing because it was only encouraging the naughtiness, but the aunt in me thought, "I cannot be in the same room as dancing Jonny and not laugh!" He is just such a solid kid and watching him dance around with those dimples and squishy cheeks...the aunt in me won for the whole ten minutes.

The first night I stayed up late talking to Ben and Rebekah and the second night Rebekah and I drove up to my parent's house in, drum roll please.....VIRGINIA!!! We talked for the entire 5 1/2 hour drive too. I'll admit, even I was surprised, but really I don't remember a single break in the flow of conversation. We laughed, we cried, we took a few wrong turns (because let's be honest, Terry girls just don't have a sense of direction) and it was great. Yay for sister time! Also, there was a chunk of the drive that had fireflies on the sides of the road. #tripmade
