Time with the Boys!
Sarah was able to get a much needed and deserved vacation away to see her family on the east coast, which allowed me(Jayce) to have almost a full week alone with the boys. It was an emotional roller coaster but still a whole lot of fun! It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. :) These experiences make me appreciate and admire the work that moms do everyday. Sarah is great and does an amazing job as a mother! Here is a little glimpse of what we did while mom was away...
She left me a little note before she left.
Jack all ready to go.
Ben all ready! What a cute smile!
Getting numbers and takin names...
We had a nice afternoon at the park. The boys enjoyed the kite! This kite cost us about 2 dollars and it has lasted for several years. It rocks!
He's a natural!
Cam was ready to give up the kite pretty quickly.
The boys had a play date with their buddy Korbin. First thing they found was the only mud in the whole park! Cameron has been watching some episodes of 'The Magic School Bus' lately and the phrase kept coming to mind from Ms. Frizzle, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!"
So....I let them endulge. :)
We had a bit of a traumatic experience during bath time. I hope they don't end up with PTSD. Ben decided to use the bathtub as a toilet. CODE BROWN. So i quickly drained the tub with them still in it so that I could dispose of the contaminents and rinse them off. So there they were standing up all together then...one slipped....then another....then another. All 3 were laying down in the tub screaming. At first I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry with them.
This picture is the aftermath.
We took a walk on Sunday. Ben has developed a love for 'pockets.' If their are shorts or pants with better pockets, then he will choose to wear those. He likes to put his hands in his pockets and just walk around. So, I thought I would document this cute new habit.
The boys love sea creatures. If you haven't been exposed to 'Jonathan bird's blue world' I would invite you to check it out. They are short, cute, educational videos and the boys love them. I actually have grown to like them too. :) Did you know that the Georgia aquarium has 4 whale sharks?...it's pretty cool...you should check it out. ;)
The boys enjoying some time outdoors. Sophia is awesome and helps to entertain the boys!
I didn't want to miss this cute moment when cameron was showing benson the clouds.
We couldn't pass up an opportunity to visit the Red Bard!
Free horse rides
Sarah sent a postcard from North Carolina. The boys enjoyed it! Especially Jack
Craft Time.
Mmmmm. Muddy Buddies! I think what Cameron is trying to say is...Muddy Buddies Rock!
It was a great time, but we were very excited to get mom back home...especially dad.
