Jessica's Wedding Week!
Snapped this one morning. Mom and Dad--this is what the inversion looks like from the Porter's on bad air quality days.
Lots of cousin bonding! I think this is how the kids stayed entertained while we worked out bridal shower stuff.
Like this:
There was a boat load of chocolate left over from the bride/groom pretzel reception favors we made so we put some of it to good use for the shower as well. I was just going to dip some in milk chocolate and some in white and call it good, but then we watched a YouTube video on strawberry dipping and Kimber and I had to try. Don't they look amazing?! I won't lie, I was pretty proud of us.
Jessica's bridal shower!!!
It was a cookie bar with milk. New Zealand Tim Tams and Danish butter cookies for Jessica and Connor and then some random stuff. See the other chocolate dipped cookies over there? Looooooots of left over chocolate.
We went to the Provo City Center Temple open house on Friday. It is GORGEOUS. Man, Payson and Provo City might both be my current favorites. I'm so glad we'll be here long enough to go do work there after it opens.
We swept Jessica away after the dinner the night before her wedding for a night in a hotel. It was just great. :-) I like these women quite a bit. We might have been responsible for keeping Jessica up a wee bit late though.
Wedding morning breakfast!
The grandkids hanging out by the gift table before the reception started.
Snapping pictures before the reception. I'm sure the photographer's will be plenty better, but at least you get a feel for it with this family shot one of the King's took for us during the photos. It really was a beautiful reception. It was a killer venue.
The next few days involved church, fun down time, and bowling.
So loving.
Cameron was Darth Vader and apparently the bowling ramp helped him out quite a bit. In the car on the way home we overheard Porter tell Cameron, "Cameron good job, but I just don't like when people beat me." Haha! A born winner.
The best was the night that we sent Jessica and Connor over 50 text messages after they had been on their honeymoon for a couple of days. Yes, we are those annoying relatives. But ooohhh man was it a hysterical night to remember! We tied it off by sending selfies. My favorite was that I caught Fab's taking his in the background. Soooooo good!
We got this in response:
:-)
And the reason for the season:
They are such a good match. I look forward to watching their future unfold. :-) I love weddings!
