Jayce: Man on Fire
Jayce is a man on fire this year! He has managed to pack his schedule with many extracurricular activities this semester. Basketball and medicine seem to be the themes. He's co-coaching a Jr. Jazz middle school team with brother-in-law, Josh, and playing for the 147th Ward intramural basketball team. Wooo! They're hard core, practicing every Saturday at 7:00 a.m. They're going for the gold: a t-shirt given to the champs of intramurals that they can then wear around campus to boast of their mad skills. Game on.
Among coaching basketball and playing in intramurals, Jayce volunteers at the hospital every Saturday, supervises BYU's EMS on Thursday's from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., studies for the MCAT, works at the MTC, is a full-time student, is actively engaged in serving in the Church, and continues to be the greatest husband ever. He also mentioned today that he wanted to go up to Salt Lake a couple of times to shadow a pediatric infectious disease specialist at the Univ. of Utah Medical Center. This doctor is so golden to Jayce because a. he works up at the U which is one of our top med school choices, b. he's doing something interesting having to do with children, and c. the doctor's from Ghana! Have the stars not aligned in Jayce's favor? Haha.
Well, things may be busy in the Porter apartment, but they most certainly are fun. :-) Oh, what a wonderful fish I have caught!
