Jackson the Hands-On Helper

One thing about Jack that has become more and more apparent with time is that he loves being hands-on. He also really loves the independence of doing something himself. Now when I'm cleaning he wants to be in on the action and I let him have at it with me.

(These are not staged by the way, this is all him.)

He loves pushing his brothers around on this bike. The other day Benson was riding the bike and Jack was pushing him while Cameron helped steer from the front. It was a really sweet moment.

Jayce was gathering tumbleweeds that blew in during some of the crazy wind storms we had a week or so ago and Jack just jumped right in. He went to the far corner of the yard, grabbed a big tumbleweed and just started dragging it across the lawn to the pile Jayce had started. He's a determined little guy.

Yesterday Cameron fell asleep in the later afternoon. I needed to get to the grocery store and I was going to take the twins, but instead we decided to split them up for some one-on-one time. Jack really wanted to come ride in the car, so Ben stayed at home with Jayce and Jack came with me to the grocery store. He helped me push the cart around the store, he was insistent on putting items from the cart onto the belt, and when we got home he was determined to carry/drag two of the grocery bags from the car into the house. He cracks us up!
