A Cameron Update

Cameron has been doing great these last couple of months and he's as cute as ever.

We took him to Tucano's for the first time, a must before leaving UT. ;-)

Enjoying Dad's open tools while Jayce worked on fixing up his bike.

Cameron has also developed a kind of reverence for ceiling fans/light fixtures.
It started with the fans and evolved into anything located above him. When it started warming up we started turning the fan in his room on at night and he took notice. Every time we walked into his room he would immediately look up and reach up with his hand. When Jayce and I went into his room to wake him up he had barely opened his eyes in bed before arching backwards and reaching his chubby little hand toward the fan. Just staring at it. Hahaha, I loved it!
However, we did learn that he has a similar relationship with the fan that he does with the vacuum cleaner. A love/hate fascination really. Jayce tried to lift Cameron up to the fan in David's room one day so that he could touch it (it was off) and Cameron shied away from it and clung on tightly to Jayce getting anxious about it. Jayce being the prankster that he is kind of thought it was funny and cute and took it one step further. David has little stuffed koalas from Australia attached to the strings on his fan and Jayce just couldn't pass up a golden opportunity. He made the koalas look alive and Cameron FLIPPED OUT. I had never heard him scream out of being scared until that day and it was HILARIOUS! All of us were busting a gut and couldn't help but do it again to catch it on film. So, here you go. Parents of the year right here:

Another great moment for Cameron was a little over a week ago when he suddenly decided that he could stand up on his own without holding onto something else first. I was in the mother's room with him during Sacrament meeting at church and all of a sudden he just started doing it! I was suuuuper excited and he loved it! He is right on the verge of walking.

Cameron absolutely loves peaches, blueberries, and grapes. He could eat grape after grape all day. He also likes bread, animal cookies, the occasional vegetable, and other stuff I try to get him to eat but he will spit any of that out immediately if presented with one of his three favorite fruits. As soon as he decides that he's done with a particular item of food he throws it on the ground--NOT my favorite habit by a long shot, but I know he'll grow out of the phase. He loves rolling around and wrestling with Mom and Dad. He's ticklish under his arms, on his sides, sometimes under the neck, and always on his inner thighs. He is still really shy around people that he doesn't see every day. Cameron claps, sometimes plays patty-cake, waves when he feels like it, loves showing off his muscles-just ask him, knows how to shimmy, and smiles a lot. And he is one of the lights of our lives. :-)
